Sat Nam. Melissa offers a practical, come-as-you-are approach to the art, science, and technology of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Kundalini Yoga offers asanas (postures), pranayama (breathwork), mantra (chanting prayer), meditation, and Savasana (deep relaxation). While a solitary practice is essential to personal and spiritual development, Melissa only offers group sessions because she believes in the power of cultivating group consciousness to transform and heal. No prior experience with yoga is necessary. Sessions are tailored to the practitioner's needs/goals. All levels of experience and all body types welcome. Sessions run approximately 2 hours long and can be held in your home or at one of the following studios: Stuyvesant Heights Clinton Hill Investment: $60 per person, min 2pp, max 6pp Additional Services Yoga Parties: $295 and up Celebrate your next birthday, anniversary, or first trimester through song, meditation, and with increased awareness of the cycle of life. Sadhana Consultations: $108 Melissa can help you develop a personalized, daily spiritual practice (Sadhana), using Tantric numerology and other esoteric tools. Please consult with your primary care practitioner before beginning any physical activity program. It is important that you are aware of any health concerns that may interfere with your participation in a yoga session. Please be open with Melissa regarding illness, pregnancy, back and joint pain, depression, or any other issues that may prevent you from fully engaging in your session so that she may offer guidance and adjustments. Melissa received her yoga training at Universal Force Healing Center and has studied under Joseph Michael Levry (Gurunam) Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, Guru Dharam Singh Khalsa, and Dr. Mahan Rishi Singh Khalsa & Nirbha Kaur Khalsa, Melissa is also a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and offers guidance in plant-based nutrition and self-care wellness.
